Fashion Yay or Nay: Jumpsuits

At the premiere of ‘The Change-Up’ in Los Angeles Monday night, Sandra Bullock made a surprise appearance on the red carpet–wearing a strapless, full-length black Lanvin jumpsuit. More and more celebrities are appearing on red carpets in full-length jumpsuits–which begs the question: are they cute?

Here are a couple recent looks. What do you think?

After reviewing the different looks, I’ve decided I’m not a big fan of the full-length jumpsuit. That said, of those pictured, Sandra and Kirsten rock the look best. Olivia looks like she’s about to grant somebody three wishes, Jessica looks like a tablecloth and Kim looks… well… ridiculous.

Shorter jumpsuits, however, don’t bother me as much. This one is actually really cute.

I tend to think full-length jumpsuits are ridiculous and unflattering, even on celebrities who should be able to pull anything off. I don’t hate the ones Sandra Bullock and Kristen Bell are wearing, I guess, but I just want to ask them why they didn’t wear a dress instead. It would be way cuter. And sweet Jesus, the ones Kim Kardashian and Jessica Szohr are wearing? Who thought that was a good idea?
